There’s something extraordinary about blending the serenity of yoga with the natural beauty of a beloved place. Recently, I had the privilege of doing just that with Elysia, a beautiful, young and inspiring yoga teacher. Our photoshoot took place in my local park, a place I often stroll through, always mesmerized by its dreamy, forest fairy-tale ambiance. It’s a park that feels like a magical forest, evoking the lush, exotic vibes of a jungle or a serene corner of Bali.
El arrived with an infectious energy and a wardrobe bursting with variety. She brought a range of outfits, from elegant plain colours to my favourites—boho-style ensembles that added a touch of whimsical charm to our session. Each outfit complemented the park’s enchanting scenery, creating a visual symphony of colours and textures.
The park itself is a hidden gem in my town. With its towering trees, vibrant greenery, and hidden nooks, it feels like stepping into a fairy tale. The lush surroundings and the enchanting atmosphere made it the ideal backdrop for our photoshoot. Initially, we were a bit anxious about the weather. The forecast had been gloomy, predicting a lack of sunshine. However, luck was on our side. The morning of our shoot, the sun graced us with its presence, providing the perfect natural lighting. The sunlight filtering through the trees created a magical interplay of light and shadow, enhancing the ethereal quality of our photos.
El’s personality brought an extra layer of enchantment to the shoot. Her fun-loving, uplifting nature and mesmerising energy made the entire experience a joy. She moved gracefully through different yoga poses, embodying strength and serenity. Her smile and spirit were infectious, radiating through each frame.
One of the highlights was capturing El in her boho outfits. The free-spirited designs perfectly complemented the park’s wild beauty. It was as if she was a part of the landscape, she was moving effortlessly through her surroundings. The plain-dark brown outfit, on the other hand, brought out the purity and simplicity of yoga, highlighting El’s grace and focus.
