Creating Private Class Visuals for Helene in North London.
When I first met Helene, a yoga teacher based in North London, she reached out with curiosity. She simply wanted to try a session, to see how professional photography could support her growing business. Our first shoot took place outdoors on a warm summer morning. We created natural, light-filled content that reflected her relaxed, nurturing approach to yoga. It helped her show up online with more confidence and start shaping her brand presence.
A few months later, she came back with a clear intention.
Helene wanted to focus on attracting private students. Her aim was simple yet powerful: to create visuals that show what 1-to-1 sessions with her look and feel like. So this time, we moved into a studio, hired a student model, and built a session specifically designed to tell the story of personalised yoga support.
The goal was not to pose perfectly. The goal was to represent the relationship between teacher and student. Adjustments, communication, hands-on guidance, quiet moments of breathwork, tailored sequences. All the small, authentic moments that make private classes so valuable.
Along the way, we also added a small set of stillness-focused poses for her own practice. These will support her website, refresh her brand visuals, and offer more consistency throughout her platforms.
Now, Helene has a library of images she can:
• use to design flyers and promotional materials in Canva
• share across social media to speak directly to private students
• integrate into her website, showcasing the care and guidance she offers in person
Most importantly, her photos align with what she teaches: supportive yoga that meets people where they are.
It is always rewarding to watch a teacher step further into their voice and business through visuals. The second time working together felt like building on a foundation we had already created — this time, with more clarity, intention and direction.
Here are some of my favorite photos from the session:
