I’ve known Shona for quite some time – a charismatic and inspiring yoga teacher whose classes I first attended years ago. I remember immediately loving her energy and teaching style, and since then, our paths have continued to cross in the yoga world. A couple of years ago, she booked a photoshoot with me in the beautiful Hampstead Heath park, capturing her practice in a stunning natural setting. And now, in January, she returned for another session – but this time, she brought along her friend and business partner, Salma.
Shona and Salma are a powerhouse duo, leading workshops, events, and retreats together. When they reached out for a new shoot, we had a chat to refine exactly what they needed – both as a pair and as individuals. It was important to capture their connection, the essence of their collaboration and the energy they bring to their students. After carefully curating inspiration and creating mood boards, we set the date and planned the shoot.
On the day of the session, they arrived with an incredible selection of outfits, each piece adding its own touch to the visual story we wanted to create. The session flowed effortlessly – Shona and Salma’s dynamic energy made it both engaging and fun, and their connection was truly inspiring to capture. I can only imagine the vibrant energy they bring to their retreats and classes!
